The Candlewood Valley Baseball Club

We are a unique, nonprofit (tax exempt-501c3) organization dedicated to developing student athletes in the greater Danbury, Connecticut area.

At the core of our program are three very important attributes:

ü    Academics

Players are required to carry a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate a strong commitment to academic excellence. Our players have received countless accolades for their accomplishments in the classroom, including honor roll, national honor society, and presidential awards.

ü    Community Service

Players are required to perform a minimum 25 hours of community service each year. To date we’ve assisted on a wide range of community projects, helping a variety of organizations including mental rehabilitation groups, city governments, and local youth programs. We’ve done it all - from cleaning the local streets and maintaining city parks to mentoring youngsters and the mentally handicapped!

ü    Competitive Baseball

As members of Elite Championship Tournament Baseball (E.C.T.B – USSSA Affiliate) we participate at the highest levels of our sport, we compete in the Hudson Valley League (H.V.L - U15 Division) which features the finest baseball talent in the area. We also showcase our talents in the many national invitational tournaments sanctioned by E.C.T.B, AAU, & USA Baseball that are held throughout the country.

Our 2007 top five national ranking (U14) and the recognition for our work within the community are proof positive that we are on the right path to developing the finest community minded, student-athletes in the northeast.
